• Genesis Center consisting of six classrooms and an exercise facility.
  • The renaming of the Fellowship Hall to the Dorothy Mitchell-Charles Mathews Center, the expansion of the church’s scholarship program, the establishment of the Greater New Hope Christian Academy, and paying off the church’s mortgage and Christian Academy loan.
  • Pastor King renovated the Pastor's Study, made the acquisition of a Church Parsonage; expanded the Fellowship Hall, expanded the parking lot, purchased a Church Van, and purchased a state-of-the-art PA system.
  • GNH hosted the first inaugural, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 10th Annual Session of the American Baptist General Convention of Texas Congress of Christian Workers and State Youth Convention.
  • In 2002, Pastor King founded the Equipping the Saints School of Ministry.
  • In 2004, the Healing Health & Wellness Ministry and the Greater New Hope Community Development Housing Program Ministry were established which consist of 8 residential houses and our former Church facility.
  • In December 2005, the church body voted to proceed with the construction of a Family Life Center Facility on the corner of 18th St. and Hwy 3.
  • Between 1995-2024, Dr. King ordained 22 deacons, received four ordained deacons, and installed three deaconesses: Carlton Tucker, Sherman Grandison, Patrick Caballero, Charles Matthews, Ira Alexander, Larry Chase, Damon Coffie, Elrondo Shaw, Kenneth Foster, Eric Jones, Lonzell Simon, Willie Davis, Perry Fulcher, Sr., Tony McDuffie, Marvin Colbert, Curtis Mills, Clint Donahue, Darrell Washington, Michael Byrd, Charles Williams, Walter Hawkins, Charles Love, Arthur Francis, Gregory White, Dwyane Albert, Keith Tolbert and deaconesses Reola Merrick, Adelle Hill, and Evelyn McDaniel.  In addition, twelve men accepted their calling into the ministry under Pastor King the late Minister James Rigsby, Quinton Ray, Steve Jones, Larry Chase, Patrick Caballero, James Hayes, James Cooper, Terell Moore, Paul Briscoe, Leroy Jackson, Ronald Washington, and Lonzell Simon.  Dr. King ordained five ministers in the ministry: the late James Rigsby, Aflred Horace, Larry Chase, Patrick Caballero, Thomas Wilson, and Lonzell Simon. In addition, he accepted five ministers under his leadership Tommy Smith, Anthony Richardson, Earnest North, and Thomas Wilson.
  • On August 19, 2006, GNH broke ground for the newly constructed Family Life Center at 1725 Hwy 3 League City, TX. July 26, 2009, a dedication service was held and Greater New Hope entered into the new Family Life Center. Rev. K. W. Tillmon on behalf of President A. S. Johnson of the American Baptist General Convention delivered the message.
  • On August 2, 2009 Southern District Association honored GNH with its cornerstone service and the Rev. L. K. Williams preached the message. The GNHMBC ministry was officially functioning at its new location.  The church celebrated its 55th anniversary and Homecoming in the new facility.  The Rev. Louis Simpson and the St John MBC of Galveston were our special guests. 
  • In April of 2010 under the direction of Dr. King, the GNH hosted its first successful Golf Tournament. GHN opened a nursery for the toddlers of our church and, visiting families attending our worship service.  The age group is four and under. 
  • On July 26, 2010, GHN celebrated its first year in the new building. 
  • In October GNH's vision became a realization during the 56th anniversary as a banquet was held in our gymnatorium.  The Rev. Charles Wheat was our guest speaker as the Holy Spirit set our souls on fire, the program was outstanding, and the food was delicious.
  • In October, a meeting of Pastors took place in our new facility. When the meeting ended, the South East District Association was organized. A former Pastor of GHNMBC Rev. Frank Celestine was elected as moderator of the association.
  • In May 2011 GNH hosted the 1stSoutheast District Association Musical on May 17 and Inaugural Session on May 18-19, 2011.  The event was a great success and well attended.  The District received several proclamations, acknowledgments, and well-wishes from government officials, clergyman peers, other District Moderators, family, and friends. 
  • In March 2020, within one week of the state-wide shutdown resulting from the COVID-19 Pandemic, Greater New Hope in obedience to the prompting of the Lord launched a Parking Lot Service. The Lord rewarded the Church's faithfulness by sending hundreds from all over the region to participate. The Parking Lot Services served GNH members, visitors who drove in, and neighborhood residents who sat on outdoor porches, patios, and lawns. Accompanying the Parking Lot Service was an enhanced online service (both internet and telephone) The online Services served a local, statewide, and national audience. The Parking Lot and On-line Service led to Church growth. The Church membership increased by 42 members. Today, the Congregation flourishes with vital, dynamic ministries and engaged Members as a testimony to the fruits of obedience to God.
  • In January of 2022, a New Sanctuary Committee was established. Architectural Plans for a new Sanctuary were drafted, appropriate governmental entities have been engaged, construction contractors are being interviewed, and groundbreaking is imminent.
  • In June of 2024, a new Social Media Ministry was implemented. The Ministry has established a dynamic presence for the Church on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
